(January 31, 2025) The National Council of Urban Indian Health (NCUIH) today urged Congress, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to exempt the Indian Health System from any future funding restrictions or pauses.

Local public health jurisdictions (LHJs) and TribalHealth Partners should be aware of recent increases in opioid-related overdoses and should work with community and health care partners to inform residents who use drugs or may be around people who use drugs.
Eligibility Eligible applicants include local, state, or tribalhealth departments, community-based organizations or groups, nonprofit organizations, professional associations, health care systems or providers, and others working to eliminate deep, systemic, and racially driven inequities in health.
