Even if you’re immune to management speak, the public health bit of public health is also full of jargon. Normal people having normal conversations don’t say ‘risk factor’ or ‘morbidity’, do they? Consider even the term ‘social determinants’, the Big Idea that underlies pretty much everything we do in public health.
